Module Description:
In this module, participants will learn the what, how, why and when of student goal setting and be able to implement new learning into their classroom. Participants will learn through key readings, hear from teachers utilizing student goal setting, practice it with their students, receive feedback from a coach, evaluate their practice and reflect on next steps.
Learning Target: I can plan and implement ways for students to engage in goal setting.
Read & Watch: As you read the short chapters on student goal setting and watch the videos, consider how you will incorporate student goal setting into your classroom.

Create: Develop a plan for implementing student goal setting in your classroom.
Use ideas from the reading, videos, this folder, and any other sources you may have.
- What: Pick one content area to start with.
- How: Think about how you will go about having students set goals. Plan for how you will help students monitor their progress with the goals.
- When: Set aside time to teach students about goal setting, have students set, monitor, and reflect on their goals, and reserve time for celebration.
Practice: Put your plan in action!
